10 Common Questions

The 10 most common questions I've been asked over the last 34 years

Here are the 10 most common questions I’ve been asked over the last 34 years. Hopefully this will answer some of your questions and relieve some of the anxieties you may have about the legal process. So... lets get started.

1. Do I have a strong personal injury case?

If you were injured or lost a loved one due to someone else's negligence, through no fault of your own.. then you have a strong case.

2. How much is my case worth?

Value depends on how bad your injuries are, your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. For wrongful death cases, it includes funeral expenses, lost future earnings, and the loss of love, comfort and affection.

3. How long will the legal process take?

Because of the seriousness of accidents involving our clientele, it takes police about 3 to 9 months for police to finish their investigation. A client’s long term medical treatments and decedent’s toxicology also contribute to the timeline

4. What are the legal fees and costs?

We have a “no fee guarantee”. You only pay us if we win. Our fee is a third of the settlement, and we cover all costs. If your case doesn't settle, then you don’t owe us anything... no fees, no costs... nothing.

5. Should I speak to insurance companies

We advise against talking to third-party insurance companies without talking to us first.

6. What evidence is important to my case?

Critical evidence includes medical records, accident reports, photos of the scene, vehicles and your physical and/or emotional injuries, witness statements, and proof of lost income.

7. What steps should I take after an accident?

Your primary focus is “always” on your recovery. Keep a diary and document your physical and emotional injuries, limitations and progress.

8. Can you help me with doctors and bills?

Absolutely, we can help you with doctors and medical bills.

9. How likely is a settlement vs. going to trial?

About 95% of all claims in California are settled out of court. But if your case goes to trial... we’re ready to fight for the compensation you deserve.

10. What is the role of a personal injury lawyer?

We will champion your cause for justice and make sure your voice is heard. We handle all the legal matters related to your accident. We will negotiate with insurance companies, lienholders and protect your rights. One of areas that is really important to us is that our clients understand the process. Because informed and knowledgeable clients make better decisions. Our goal is to get you fair compensation and guide you through the legal process, so you can focus on healing and moving forward.
